Our Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster hope for a better life of those facing food insecurity and for those without a permanent home by providing a hand up through innovative and compassionate programs with equality, dignity and respect.
How Did We Come To Be
Community Through Hope was created out of the need to efficiently distribute food to people through the many food banks in the South Bay region of San Diego. We also connect people to the services they need to better their lives. We have been successfully working under 2 other nonprofit organizations up to November of 2017. On February 15th of 2018 we received our 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit status from the Secretary of State of California and our EIN March 5th, 2018.
What Our Goals Are For The Future
Our board members were picked for their experience, skills, creative thinking and enthusiasm for bettering the lives of others. We are open to change when change is needed and hold true to our values of equality, dignity and respect with compassion. We see our future to be what it takes to change the lives of those who are willing to take the step that it takes to improve their lives as we offer them a hand up, not a hand out.
